In Coral, I address coral bleaching and dance the fragility of our seas. In my dance theatre piece, the process of dying and decay becomes physically and emotionally palpable. But in the end, the expression of suffering and grief does not give way to resignation, but to a powerful message of hope.
The piece shows: If we act now, we can still save what can be saved.
In Coral, dance, music, and visual elements merge into an collage that conveys the urgency of the issue while also emphasizing the resilience of nature and our responsibility. The piece is not only a call for awareness but also an appeal for change and a respectful approach to our environment. It is an invitation to take on collective responsibility – for the ocean and for life on Earth.
Because every second breath we take, we get from the seas.
